A racecourse on the Eventard plateau, occupying around forty hectares, is located in Angers in Maine-et-Loire, in the heart of the Eventard district and 10 minutes from Angers city center. Acknowledged as the best national racetrack for the three disciplines, the trot, the flat, and the obstacle.

Originally, the first races in the wastelands of Ecouflant started in August 1836. Then after the request with the creation of a racecourse, they established a racing company managed by volunteers and horse racing enthusiasts in 1847. Then in 1863, a racecourse was finally installed in Eventard, the Angers Racecourse, while the inauguration was on June 12, 1864, with the program of steeple-chase dish. Modernization of the track began in the 1950s, replacing wooden cement stands, installing a telephone line, constructing the box, and expanding the land through purchases. In 1979, the building of a hard-trotting track with the displacement of some obstacles commenced.

In the 90s, the racetrack was acknowledged as the 1st category racecourse in all three disciplines. Also, the establishment of New closed stands, a restaurant, and special windows enable people to have an excellent view of the track wherever they are seated. Another major alteration occurred in 2006, the closure and reorganization of the current hall and reorganization of the presentation to leave a better place for the winner.
