Avenue Pierre Grand.
History
A track that features harness and thoroughbred racing situated in Cavaillon in the Vaucluse, Quartier Boscodomini Chemin du Pont des Sommiers Cavaillon 84300 France, 5 minutes from the Cavaillon SNCF station, 25 minutes from the Avignon TGV station and 40 minutes from Marseille airport. Existed since 1859 and managed by the Société Hippique de Cavaillon. About ten meetings are held there each year from May to November.
Track Details
The site covers 25 hectares, in which it can accommodate 2,500 people seated. The grass track for galloping is 1,322 m, the straight line is 320 m, and the width is 20 m. On the other hand, the pozzolana track is for the trotting, 1,200 m, 320 m straight line, and 24 m wide, with volt and rope on the left. The parking is huge enough for unlimited capacity. The racecourse also offers PMH counters, Unpaid tickets, Race commentary, performance and prognosis journal, free pony rides for children, and Buvette (Sandwiches and pastries). For its prices, a normal ticket costs 5 € during weekdays while3 € on holidays. It is free of charge if 18 years old and below.
