Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course is a Racino (horse-racing track and Casino) in Youngstown, Ohio, United States. It opened in 2014, at North Canfield Niles Road.

History of Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course

2013 – The Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Racecourse’s construction commenced on May 30, 2013.

2014  – It was opened on September 17, 2014. However, the first racing was operated on November 24, 2014. The track is a thoroughbred racino owned by Gaming and Leisure Properties and operated by Penn National Gaming. The track replaces Beulah Park Racetrack in Columbus, Ohio. 

2015 – During the 2015-16 racing season, Mahoning Valley Racecourse announced two open stakes races added to its stakes schedule.

Track Details

  • Main Track
    • It is a one-mile oval racetrack
    • The track is 80 feet wide.
    • It is banked at 3% in the stretches and 6% in the turns.
    • The stretch run is 1,000 feet long.

  • Stable
    • There are 13 barns with stables that can accommodate up to 988 horses.
    • A receiving barn consists of 54 stalls, all at the backstretch.
    • Moreover, there are also dormitories for employees of the horse trainers, in which the building has 84 rooms that can accommodate 2 (two) people for every room, a total of 168 can accommodate.
    • The barn stall space is free, but the dormitory space requires payment.
  • Barstool Sportsbook Restaurant
    • It is located within the sportsbook.

      • Friday & Saturday – 12:00 noon – 12:00 midnight.

    • Available on selected live racing days.

    • It offers a clubhouse for dining and drinking options and wagering areas.
  • Wagering and Simulcasting Areas
    • The two (2) main wagering areas are on the 1st floor, the Simulcast Teletheater is on the 2nd floor, and wagering machines are available on both levels.

  • It is located on Ohio Route 46, just 7 miles from Youngstown, Ohio, 65 miles from Cleveland, and 75 miles over the state line to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 
  • It is accessible from the I-80 and the I-76.
