Tauranga Racecourse
History
Racing at Tauranga Racecourse began in 1873 when races were still operated at the Government Paddock Course. Later that year, the Tauranga Jockey Club was established, and they held the initial race meeting the next year at the 1383 Cameron Road Greerton Tauranga, North Island of New Zealand.
It is considered one of the finest provincial racing venues in New Zealand. It hosts approximately 12 thoroughbred race meetings and one harness meeting each season
Track Details
In Tauranga Racecourse, it has two grandstands, and both race day and non-race day functions are held throughout the year in several venues, including the Doncaster, Tokyo, and Sir Tristram Lounges. It hosts indoor functions such as weddings and conferences, and outdoor gatherings. There is also on-site catering available through top-class caterers Food 101.
