Sprinting at Santa Anita
The Chosen Vron has been nothing short of a win machine with a huge heart sitting at 15 for 20 lifetime. It seems all he does is win whether against California bred sot in open company. The Tampa Bay Derby 2024
I always look twice at horses coming off the Tampa Bay Downs dirt track. I think it is a somewhat quirky track that can play funny, but it gets horses fit and legged up as they say. It is also looked at as somewhat second or third tier so often those horses are overlooked at some of the bigger meets. On Saturday I will be looking directly at Tampa as we have The Tampa Bay
The Fountain of Youth 2024
Nine are scheduled to go to post for The Fountain of Youth on Saturday at Gulfstream Park. Two of the scheduled runners, Speak Easy and Merit are also entered in an allowance race on Friday and as of now we don’t know where each will start. That is an important factor to consider as both have some early speed and one or both coming out of The Fountain of Youth will impact the pace.
