Thursday Picks 8-24-17

Good day and thanks for checking in on this edition of the blog. I will be looking at three races taking place on the Thursday August 24 Twilight Card from Southland Greyhound Park.

Race #4 – I will be keying the #1 Silver Footed on top in all my wagers. This son of Soprano Drive and World Of My Own runs his best races with a red blanket on and should have an excellent chance to go box to wire today. I will be using the #2 Crook, #5 Biodiesel, and the #6 VJ Move On Up behind Silver Footed in my exacta and trifecta wagers.

Race #5 – This race features the best 334 Yard sprinters on the Southland grounds. I will be using the #8 DS Brass in the second and third positions in some trifecta wagers. This red male is a wide runner who tries hard all the time and has run in the superfecta in 32 of his 36 starts this year. I will be using the #2 Slatex Deliah (first time over the course), #6 Craigie Renegade, and the #7 Craigie Hey You over DS Brass in my exotic wagers.

Race #14 – I will be keying a very talented young pup in the #9 PJ Dark Angel in this race. In his maiden win on Friday, this brindle male cleared second and went on to an easy nine length tally. His time was the fastest of the entire twilight card meaning that this youngster is very fast when things go right for him. I will be using the #5 Deputy Festus, #6 WW Gold Rush, and the #7 PJS Settin Fires behind Dark Angel in my trifectas and superfectas.

Good luck on your wagers today!!
