Thursday Picks 8-31-17

Good day and thanks for stopping by the blog. In this article, I will be taking a closer look at three races on the Thursday August 31 Southland Twilight Card.

Race #1 – I really like the chances of the #1 VJ Midnight in this race. This 78 pounder comes into this race off two good efforts (two third place finishes) and has run some very good races in the past with the red blanket on. If this son of Dragon Fire and VJ Im An Angel can break sharply, he should have an excellent chance of winning this contest.
I will be using the #2 Fiesta Duracell (well posted today), #6 Rush Runner, and the #8 Darrelle Revis (in good form) with Midnight in all my exotic wagers.

Race #7 – I will be keying a talented youngster in the #1 Hl’s Rocky in today’s seventh race. In his last race on August 25, this white brindle male went box to wire and scored an easy seven length win from the same post position. If he breaks on top again today, Rocky might just “KO” the opposition.
I will be using the #2 Forchinit and the #3 AMF Pushover (two strong closers) behind my key selection in trifectas and superfectas.

Race #9 – I will be keying the #5 Diana Taurasi to close up and run second or third in my exotic wagers. Prior to a couple of fifth place finishes, this 62 pounder had run in the trifecta in four straight races. Taurasi easily looks like the most reliable late speed greyhound in this contest.
The greyhounds I will use in the win spot over the five will be the #2 Yolo Becky, #6 Muhweeya, and the #8 Elbow Grease.

Remember you can watch greyhound racing online all day at AmWager.com. For our greyhound schedule click here.

Good luck with all your wagers today!!
